Direct Carrier Billing (or DCB) is payment method that enables merchant to accept payments for goods or services by billing a customer’s pre- or post-paid contract with mobile network operator (MNO) or Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO).
Payment is initiated via mobile-based application and dynamic QR, representing customer’s phone number, or other customer ID type to initiate transaction. Handset’ biometric security features or customer’ generated pint is used to authorize transactions. Transaction is performed on-line and happens within the same time-frame as card-scheme transactions.
Limits for these transactions depend on the customer location.
This payment method is available for both land-based and on-line merchants.
